Glory House
Chelmsford City Council
Planning Insight was approached by Glory House to bring forward a new community facility and Place of Worship. The site as an existing Listed Building and extensive office floorspace that had been vacant for an extended period.
We initially provided strategic advice on the site as a suitable location for a new home for the congregation. This lead us to obtain favourable pre-application advice, careful management of this process ensured that the advice was thorough and supported our client’s position.
Collaboratively working with Edge Architects and the wider consultant team we prepared a detailed planning and Listed Building Consent application. Key challenges were loss of employment floor space on an allocated site and the designated heritage asset.
