We sought to improve upon an extant permission for three airspace flats to provide an additional two units.
Robust justification was required to secure a mix of units that was not policy compliant but used market evidence to demonstrate larger units would remain unsold. Negotiated a position of enhancing the sizes of internal spaces with high quality communal amenity space would justify no private amenity space for some units. Impact on the existing occupiers was acceptable based on submitted daylight report.
Also provided enhanced ground floor entrance to existing owners.
Despite numerous objections, planning permission was secured under delegated authority before a larger appeal scheme was dismissed on design and heritage grounds.
“Planning Insight were instructed to help us get a complex residential airspace scheme back on track after a planning application refusal. Peter and his team worked closely with us to develop and submit a revised application, providing expert advice and managing all dialogue with the planning authority which ultimately resulted in achieving the approval we needed. We were so impressed with the results that we’ve subsequently used Planning Insight to provide support on a number of other schemes.”
