Upward Extensions Guidance 2025

Permitted development rights allowing additional storeys for new dwellings on certain buildings originally came into effect in August.  Since the initial introduction, we have worked on many airspace schemes utilising this legislation and have produced this guidance document to reflect the latest legislative position together with some helpful hints and tips.

We have created a guidance document that is designed to assist those who might be interested in the route to achieving new residential dwellings through Part 20 of the General permitted Development Order 2015 (as amended).
