About the Project:
A longstanding client asked us to prepare an application for a large shroud advertisement on a prominent corner plot at Wigmore Street and Mandeville Place, Westminster. Westminster are a traditionally very resistant authority in terms of securing advertisement consent. The locally listed status of the building, its location within a Conservation Area, and its prominent position in an area with no precedent for large format advertisements, all added further risk.
We took a strategic approach of reducing the illumination and display period while still retaining a large advertisement area wrapped around the corner elevations. A strong application with heritage impact assessment and robust analysis of the fallback position secured us this high value advertisment in a high risk area for our client, at appeal.
