About the Project
Following recent success for another block in the same area, we were appointed to secure permission for an additional floor at this detached block in London Borough of Havering. As the LPA has a very slow pre-application service, we opted to submit without advice but thanks to our good working relationship with officers, we were able to come to a negotiated position and secure prior approval under Class A, Part 20 of the General Permitted Development Order.
While five units were secured through negotiating with the LPA, we also secured six unit through appeal following a previous refusal.
We successfully worked with the the project team comprising of developer, architect, transport, daylight and visualisations to prepare a detailed and compliant scheme.

- The consented scheme is taller than the surrounding townscape which required careful justification and negotiation with officers.
