Permitted Development Order 2016

The existing permitted development rights allowing the change of use from offices to residential are to be made permanent (due to expire in May 2016). In addition, Class M has been expanded to permit buildings currently in use as a launderette to be converted to C3 dwelling houses. A new temporary permitted development right has been introduced to allow light industrial Class B(c) to residential accommodation (C3) to be allowed.
