An RTPI report has claimed nearly three-quarters of planners believe the constant changes and updates to the planning system are stopping the delivery of successful planning. RTPI President said, ‘for too long planning has been relegated to a reactive, bureaucratic function, instead of being able to plan strategically to drive development, jobs and growth.’ The report stated that stronger public sector leadership could make more land available and provide for a better opportunity to drive development forward.
